| Ammoudi, as its name suggests, has a small
sandy beach (Ammos in Greek means sand). Ammoudi is famous
for its fish taverns which not only serve excellent fish
but also traditional local specialties of Santorini. One
could not imagine a visit to Santorini without trying
the fresh fish of Ammoudi.
There are daily runs with the small boats 'kaikia'
to the popular beach of Riva on Thirassia Island.

| "Nicoletta Ammoudi House" has very close
ties with the sea. The house can be found in Ammoudi, the small
port of Oia at the base of the Caldera cliffs. To reach Ammoudi
port from Oia village you take the new road that winds down
the hill and ends up at right outside the doorstep of Nicoletta
Ammoudi House. For romantics there is an alternative option
- one can descend to the port from Oia via the steps on foot
or by donkey. |

| "Nicoletta Ammoudi House" is a 19th century
building made out of volcanic rock which was recently renovated.
It is the first house you meet when arriving at Ammoudi by car
and its entrance is by the sea. The house comprises of three
modern apartment studios. Each studio is autonomous with a separate
entrance and private veranda. The living room is open-plan with
views to the sea, and incorporates a fully equipped kitchen.
The studios are air conditioned, the bathroom has a shower and
there is a WC. Two of the studios have upper 'loft' levels.
The studios provide daily maid service. |
